Aginvicta
This has been an enjoyable little project. I had never built a resin kit before, I have learnt a lot and I am certainly going to build more resin kits. I have also enjoyed researching HMS Queen of Thanet, the ship has quite a history, and it was good to see pictures not only of her in peace time carrying passengers along the Kent coast, but also during WW2 whilst sweeping for mines in Scotland. Seeing pictures of the crew painting the hull or manning the guns made me realise these men did an important job either rescuing troops from Dunkirk or helping to keep sea lanes free from mines, and that they probably got little recognition for the things they did. Before I built this ship I had never heard of Paddlewheel mine sweepers. Thanks to everyone who has followed my built, made comments, offered advice and left “likes”, knowing that you are following this build has helped me to complete it, Andy

I never knew this class of ship existed, Cheers Andy
MilneBay
That is an interesting model - it's sort of strange to see a side paddle wheeler used in WW2. Lovely job.

Thank you all, it was built during WW1 for sweeping mines, some one must have decided side paddlewheels were better than propellers at the stern for mine sweeping, Andy
