Rick Brown
Chaps, Just had a weird one. A couple of months ago I primed a Tamyia Ducati MH Rep with Zero Paints white primer. It went on to a spotless, pre-cleaned/dried surface. I dug out the primed parts from it's plastic container (got to love the local Chinese take away tubs!) to find that the paint on the seat hump just flakes off! It took about 10 minutes with my finger nail to remove the whole lot! The paint on the tank is fine and I flatted that down with Micro Mesh without any trouble. It's as though the plastic must have had something coating it's surface, but I can't think what. All the parts were cleaned and sprayed at the same time. Anybody have any suggestions? Rick Going back to Tamiya/Halfords rattle cans......
Steve Noble
I tried the Zero primer once and just couldn't get on with it. I love the Zero paints 100% just not the primers. I only use Tamiya or Halfords primer now in rattle cans and neither have ever failed me..
Rick Brown
This is my first effort with their primer and will give it a swerve in future. Glad you've given their paint a thumbs up, as that's the next coat! Rick.
