chris148
Good afternoon everyone, time for my latest completed build for your views. Here we have the 1/48 airfix gloster javelin built out of the box,no added extras. As usual everything is brush painted including cockpit. Kit was nice to build, good fitting nice detail the only one small downside was the decals which a couple just didnt want to stay down, which leads to the big problem with the build. As you no doubt notice my tail flash decals are rubbish, the large flag over the tail went on and as i moved it it split about 10mm.I knew if i tried to move it it would only get worse so i left it where it is,too high which meant the banner has been shortened. All comments welcome.
cngaero
That certainly is a stunner. It's a menacing looking beast of an aeroplane. You've done a lovely job with this one. Thank you for sharing it.
Agent K
Wow! A quite extraordinary build there, very nice.
doozer1974
I had similar troubles with the decals on my build of this kit, which is otherwise a fantastic thing to build straight out of the box. Despite the grief you had, still plenty to admire in this beauty!
Head in the clouds.
What a slab of Aluminium the Javalin was and you have captured it very well indeed, all nicely balanced and weathered.

robgizlu
Super job. I visited the Jet Age museum a few weeks ago and there's a Javelin there. it's a reminder as to just what a chunk of aircraft it is - you've captured it beautifully. 72modeler
By far the best Javelin I have seen built in either 1/72 or 1/48! Beautiful work of a very handsome weenie cooker, Chris! I am jealous! Mike
