First! Oops, sorry...

My first completion of this Group Build - the Tamiya 1/72 De Havilland Mosquito NF.II W4087 RSoB of 157 Squadron:

DSCN6122.jpg

Built OOB apart from the use of the Eduard canopy mask set and Infini fine white thread for the R/T antenna wire; a very nice easy kit to build. Finished in Colourcoats ACRN17 Night and Xtraflat Matt Varnish. Transfers as provided by the kit. Build thread is here.

Cheers,

Stew

Same comments as my previous build, a nice straightforward kit with no real issues - again I used the Eduard mask set and the Infini fine white thread. Finished in Colourcoats ACRN14 PRU Blue and Xtracolour XDSS satin varnish. I used the kit transfers. Build thread is here.

Cheers,

Stew

Looking for a painless build I followed Stew's lead and built the Tamiya NF Mk.II, OOB with an Eduard mask. Stynylrez black primer with bits of Vallejo NATO black.

Pilots are the new PJ Productions RAF set.

The transfers silvered and were blasted with pastels. Horrid.

Another Tamiya Mosquito in 1:72 scale, this time a bomber Mk.IV B DZ367 / GB-J from 105 Squadron RAF.

Build thread here.

Start to finish in less than ten days, the kit´s just marvellous, and built 100% out of the box.

Brush painted with Humbrol and Revell enamels. No masks were harmed while painting canopy framing, that was painted freehand and it shows...

Brushed with Humbrol clear varnish before decals were added. Probably won´t add matt varnish at all.

Tamiya 1/72 PR IV. Built after the NF in this WiP.

A lovely kit to assemble but spoilt, for me, by problems with the transfers - it may be the water!

Grey Stynylrez primer, Vallejo Model Air 71.109 airbrushed, W&N matt varnish. EZ line aerial. PJ Productions pilot and 'body parts' Nav.

Flory Dark Dirt wash used for the first time on Spadgent's suggestion - I like it!

The old Airfix 1/72 scale MOSQUITO NF MkII, 23 Squadron, November 1942.

Built out of the box with a few enhancements such as a cockpit and replacement of panel lines.

The photos are pretty bad but some detail does show.

I have now added radar receivers to the wings, a radio wire, wing tip lights and have done a little weathering to brake the flat black up. The model is now finally finished.
