Robert Stuart
If you are thinking about a civilian Moth, this page might help ... http://www.airhistory.org.uk/gy/reg_G-A.html Just be aware that aircraft registration codes are more likely to be re-issued than, say, road vehicles. A valid, modern, code may, or may not, have been used in the pre-war era

Col.
Took some photos of the Vampire T.22 at Montrose Air Museum and if anyone needs some extra details for their Airfix T.11 I've posted them in a Photobucket album http://s101.photobucket.com/user/ColinDuncan/library/Vampire T22?sort=3&page=
MickE
Can anyone answer my query about the colour of Mosquito main wheel bays? The 1/48 Tamiya B Mk 4 kit has you paint the roof interior green and the sides and doors aluminium. Looked online I found a walkround that showed that the bay was all interior green except for the engine bulkhead. But then I found another that was painted exactly as per the Tamiya instructions. So which is right? Or are they both right? Mick

I don't have any good one photos of the FB W.Ws but I think that's the same aswell. I believe the vast majority are aluminium sides and green tops. But at the end of the day it's down to you and what takes your fancy. HTH Joss
MickE
Thanks Josh that's 2-1 for green top ally sides now so I guess Tamiya got it right. Mick

PlaStix
Anyone building a Mosquito may find these 360 views of the cockpit helpful. They have probably been seen by everyone here before but I found them very helpful - even though they showed me more what was I was not including. http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/cockpits/WWII_tour/WWII-20.html http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/cockpits/WWII_tour/WWII-21.html ...wow those cockpits were busy with wiring, etc.!! It's not the same aircraft that I'm building but it certainly gives a good feel for a real cockpit. More links to other 360 views from the website can be found here: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/VirtualTour/Cockpit360.aspx Kind regards, Stix
DAG058
The Walkround section of the forum has excellent reference photos of many DH types. Page 3 of both the Propeller and Jet Engine sections cover DH . You're more than welcome Bob, I have other close-up Tiger Moth pictures if anybody wants further details. I'm afraid I've not visited Britmodeller for a while so missed the start of this GB though I have a 1/32nd civilian Tiger Moth in build at the moment, but with the main fuselage closed up and the lower wings attached it may be judged to be beyond the 25% limit: however there's still a heck of a way to go from my point of view! Kallisti
By sheer coincidence, this month edition of Scale Modelling is devoted to the Mosquito! Very interesting stuff in there, in fact its made me change my mind about which colour scheme to use on my Mossie!
