Work In Progress
What is your evidence for the aeroplane having red squadron codes?
Wm Blecky
Have you considered Xtradecals? They don't do 1/32 red code letters, but perhaps their 1/48 sheet might work? It's intended for bombers, so they might work out well for a 1/32 fighter. Just a thought. Personally, I am not concerned with having "evidence" persay, but I'd be interested in seeing a picture as it sounds like an interesting scheme - something I've not come across before. Rob G
In 32nd, they're way large enough to cut masks and spray them. That would be my approach.
brewerjerry
Hi All Thanks for the replies I thought of 1:48 bomber decals but the ones i have dont quite seem the right size. Likewise i thought of masking, but the 'S' looks like it might not be so easy for me but looks like it is going to be my only choice cheers jerry

The artwork is based on a photo which was published in my article in MAM Dec 2006 and more recently In Airfix Mag. It clearly shows codes darker than the camouflage. Red codes were the norm on NF Hurricanes that 486 Sqn had been operating on Turbinlite operations and were expecting to continue. Please note the error in the artwork. The port side view shows the Sky band continuing beneath the fuselage, which is incorrect. The other views are ok. CT
Work In Progress
OK, I haven't seen the photo but that's a very reasonable case. Something learned.

The yellow 'Zs' are for the wings of OV-Z, alternatives to the white ones, as the colour is not known. No letters on SA-Z's wings. Chris
