Renault Dauphine

Inspired by a Renault Dauphine with Yamaha FJ1200 engine I modifeid an old 1/25 Hubly Renault Dauphine. The Hubley Chassis was replaced by a new one made out of sheet.  The proportions of the roof are a bit strange so that I corrected it to the right shape. Also the belt line wasn't straight, more wavy. I corrected that as well and add a chrome .The rims are modified 15" Fuchs with 15" rings from Scale Production. The scruffy look of the paint  was done wit Hairspray and salt technique.

When I saw the title I was expecting a build of the old Airfix 1/32 kit that now goes for stupid prices on e-bay - i've never even heard of Hubly!

Great build, I really like the rat look finish, makes a change from the miles deep 2 part gloss clear look!

Cracking little Renault!

This is 1:25? Looks more like 1:43 in the pictures. So tiny.

Great model of a truly awful car. Putting that sort of power in a Dauphine is suicidal :suicide:
