An very nice sunny day. I was driving my dad and mum up to  the midlands staying with friends for the weekend and happened across this show. Time precluded me /us to stop and watch the flying display but I did enjoy seeing the static park,

The below are most of the better ones.

Nice selection Paul. I particularly liked the Viscount, a type still very much current equipment with my airline company in 1979.

Now, I was at this 1979 Abingdon display with my wife and daughter (age 4 3/4) and the above looks very much like her but of course might not be. But what a coincidence!

Great pictures. I worked at RAF Abingdon from 1990 until it's closure a couple of years later. I was lucky enough to work its last BoB day too. Saw it recently. Wished I hadn't as the tower, where I worked, was boarded up and derilect, not good

I was there! The clan and friends camped over the weekend a stroll away from RAF Abingdon, and we spent the Saturday at the show. I took loads of pictures with my new SLR.

Breakfast on the Sunday morning was enlivened by an A-10A departing low overhead.

Time to look at the photos again and scan the slides at long last.

Those pictures take me right back Paul. I attended many shows at Abingdon as it wa the nearest base to my home in Oxford. Thanks for sharing.
