activexp
Hi guys & gals, another highly detailed kit in 1/24 scale from Tamiya. This means a lot of very small parts for me to lose or generally mess up in way or another. Wish me luck! As usual, assembly starts with the engine Unusual (for Tamiya) is a vague placement, the anti-roll bar. It doesn't look right.
Schwarz-Brot
Will follow this closely. This is one of the dream cars that were cool back when I was a kid. Right beside Porsche 959 and Ferrari F40. The XJ220 ranked always high in my book. Those sleek lines are just beautiful. Though I like the 959 even a tad more for there was the Rallye version of it.

activexp
This build will be strictly OOB as I don't have the skill and patience for extra detailing on the mechanicals. Engine and front suspension fitted to the chassis. The brake calipers look pink in this shot. I'm sure they're red The clear parts were tricky to mask and paint. activexp
Apparently silver was the most popular colour for this car so I've used Tamiya TS-17 Gloss Aluminium.
Spookytooth
Looking quite nice Activexp. I started this a while ago , and she ended up back in the box for some reason. Personally I would of fixed the body work sides to the main body first before painting. Simon.

activexp
For the wheel rims I used Marabu high gloss silver which does exactly what it says on the tin. Really good stuff. Not sure why the body side panels are separate parts, no obvious reason for it. Maybe to increase the parts count. The completed body shell. Now the fun begins.....fitting it to the chassis
