Paul Wagner
Anyone know where I might find one? I know its a few years OOP, but I'd have thought there'd still be a few around in the back of various shops, but my extensive internet searches have come up empty... tonywood
I finally managed to get one in the kit swap at Telford last year after trying to find one online, looks like the second hand stalls at events are the best bet.
Trenton guy
Last March, I sold my collection to Dean Sills of Deans Hobby Stop, a used kit dealer in Oswosso, Michigan. Dean is an all round great guy and advertises in SAMI and, perhaps SAM. The collection included two Bilek MiG-19's. His website doesn't reveal a lot so I'd suggest you reach out to him by e-mail. KRK4m
I also haven't seen the -19PM for some time, but there's a -19P put on the auction in Poland by some Czech modeller http://allegro.pl/mig-19-p-kalki-polska-bilek-1-72-i6705603331.html The price at the moment is sth like GBP 6 (~30 PLZ). The Czech guy is ready to ship it abroad. Cheers Michael
rossm
As far as I can tell the only difference between the Bilek MiG-19 / Shenyang F-6 family of kits is the resin, the sprues are the same with all the missiles, guns and rocket pods as well as the nose ring for either version. This means you can buy a Shenyang F-6 (say) and the only thing you have to scratchbuild is the inner part of the intake with the airflow splitter and radar bullet. You can see it in this review of the PM http://www.internetmodeler.com/2001/march/first-looks/bilek_mig19pm.htm Looking at this review of the Mig-19P http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=1810 the resin part is the same as for the PM, only the decals are different, but you use the gun armament from the kit, not the missiles, so if you can get that kit you have all the parts you need. There are several aftermarket decal sheets for the MiG-19 family which feature the PM variant including Print Scale PSL72115 and Hi Decal 72040. If you want to go even further in the variants Hannants list several versions of the RVHP conversion for the two seat Shenyang FT-6 / JJ-6. rossm
I emailed Bilek and just got the reply that they plan to reissue in September 2017 - it wasn't clear which versions though.

Interesting to hear they plan on a reissue of one of their MiG-19 kits.
