Northolt January 16 1979!

Taken just over 30+ years ago on a damp dull day. A friend and my self used to go travelling to airfields and airports all year round come what may. This date took us to Heathrow nothing photographed there but Northolt proved worthwhile. Note in the background among the pics below 32 Squadron Whilrwinds can just be identified plus HS125 and Devon.!

There was a French Noratlas there too according to my log but no piccie.  Finding these photos of the Jetstar reminds me that I have the Roden 1/144 kit in the same scheme. Hmm....

I used to see all these and more flying into Northolt, as my parents house was on the flight path, DH Devons were always my favourite with Gypsy Queen engines, also the Pembroke's were nice to see

More classics B) I spent a few hours in the viewing enclosure at Northolt myself.

Me and my mate used to go on the bus. One day we walked all the way back to the bus stop, then an Italian Herc flew in, so we walked all the way back to get the number. Then while we were there a US Navy C-1Trader flew in. Happy days.
