Academy P-51 "North Africa" Questions

Hello,

 

I'm going to buy the Acadmey P-51 "North Africa" version (or is it an A-36?) and I've tried to find reviews or photos of it built and all I've found are official pictures. I was wondering if anyone could send me a review or a discussion about this model, or your experience about building it. Any comment will be fine.

It's in the Valiant Wings early P-51 book and gets a fairly good review and it appears better than most Academy kits. I've built it and enjoyed it and can certainly recommend it as a building exercise.

It is not an A-36, which would be nice to have,  There have been criticisms of its detail shape, but it is the best kit of the Allison engined variants, by a considerable margin in my opinion..

Thanks for the tips, but is this painted an olive drab like some reference photos or something closer to humbrol 29 where it's a dark brown?
