Hawker Typhoon. 175 Sqn. Schleswig, Germany 1945.

Hi everyone

May I present my Hasagawa 1/48 Hawker Typhoon.

I started this project 4 years ago and for one reason or another I put it on the back burner and eventually forgot it. But that was then and this is now so here she is...

Really nice looking model.

Love the way you've displayed her on a mirrored base so that we can see the underside without the model being over handled.

Superb!

Hi Keith

Many thanks mate - I gotta say I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Hey GDumbrell - Thanks very much. Yeah the glass base is a very cheap and easy way of displaying your models.

Very nice.

What's the story behind the gear door interior colours?

Thank you - Sorry I don't know (thats quite bad isn't it?)

Fantastic build, and very nice way to display it, hate to be that guy, but need to scratch build the cookoo doors for the intake (and paint them red&yellow)

Ha ha I'd hoped no body would notice that! I started the model a long time ago and was going to finish her as a different airframe, but once I started on her again I saw this scheme and just had to do it - mistakes and all.

Thankfully no body in my household has the faintest idea about airplanes!

Phwoar, that's a beauty. Great finish and the mirror base really sets it off.

Cheers Justin - and Phwoar isn't a phrase you hear very often!

Thanks to everyone for their very kind comments. Tomorrow I'm going to carry on with my 1/72 Revel Halifax that I started last year (i think).

Regards
