heloman1
Whilst shopping for steak knives yesterday I came across this sptter guard for covering the frying pan. The make is 'Legend' and the mesh weave/pitch is .625mm the spatter guard is 275mm inside the frame, so plenty to work with, material is stailess steel. Much more realistic than PE mesh. Cost around Eight UKP. \ Colin
Cheshiretaurus
I use this stuff, availible in different grades and cheaper. STAINLESS-STEEL-WOVEN-WIRE-MESH-filter-grading-sheet on ebay CT
Murdo
I tried a couple of these "spatter guards". The problem was that as soon as the mesh was cut they ceased being interwoven and just became a lot of individual single strands no longer connected to each other. Totally useless as mesh.
Rob G
The trick is to apply a very light coat of thin superglue before you cut them, and to use good tape to hold them together while you cut them. It's still not easy, but it works.
