F-3D-2 Skyknight 1/72 Sword

Recommended Posts

Hello! This is one of my model.

I did it at 2015.

It is difficult kit. I used a lot of putty. Canopy was made of transparent packaging. Native canopy did not fit the model.

I used MR color paints.

Weathering- oil dots, salt dots, pigments and washes.

Looks very nice in terms of paint job and weathering.

For info purposes, the conduits on both sides of the fuselages are installed for electrical wiring used during a test and do not exist on operational aircraft. Sword mistakenly seems to have picked that exceptional aircraft as a reference.

I really like this, a convincing looking model, I am also interested how you did the canopy for this as the kit option is very awkward, so do let us know the finish techniques and how you did the canopy.

Thank you for comments and additional Information ))) For wash I used production kf MIG.

Canopy consists of three parts. The left, center and right. I made them by applying to their original parts so that were similar to the original part and fit together Thank God, I did it. But I was not sure of success to last

That's a fantastic depiction of the Drut.  I have a 1/48 kit in my stash but I haven't plucked up the courage to start it yet.  That said, your model based on the Sword kit is certainly inspiring me.  Thanks for sharing!
