My first post - RDAF F104

Here is my experiment at producing the horrific weathering that early olive green RDAF aircraft suffered, my object was this one1132365F_zpsxzdpzzmc.jpg

and here is the result, of which I am quite proud, hope you like it...

It is the Hasegawa 1/72 kit and the finish was achieved with lots of different sprayed greens and fair bit of fine brush work.

Horatio,

Up until now, I just saw one or two attempts at reproducing this impressive worn finish (already wondered why nobody tackles this with the 1:32 Italerie F-014, but maybe everybody' s waiting for the even more impressive TF-104 ?) , and your result has to be the best of them ! Wonderful paint Job, very convinicing !! That is one unique  Starfighter  !

As I am a german modeller, the magazines and forums here are full of F-104's in german camouflage, which I find rather boring (but maybe I'm just fed up with it...).

Regards & thanks for sharing,

Olli
