tonywood
Hi all I'm just about to start the Trumpeter MiG 29 as a Slovak MiG 29 AS in the digital camo. The Kopro sheet I have is without instructions, can anyone advise on the base colour for the grey? Also what work is needed to represent an accurate AS version? upnorth
The AS has a different cockpit set up as well as a prominent antenna setup just aft of the cockpit. they also have the "Bird slicer" antenna ahead of the cockpit. I have a few pictures of an AS cockpit that I'll try to post later today.

delis
Be careful with the decals, these are very fragile and you can easily destroy them. avoid using any solutions.
tonywood
Thanks for the decal advice, I've used Kopro decals before and they are certainly fragile! I purchased two sets so I have a back up!
drake122
Coincidentally, I've done a bit of research on this topic recently: - base color under the decals should be: http://mrpaint.sk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=87&search=038 - others have mentioned the bits and bobs ahead and aft of the cockpit already. - a slovak Mig-29 AS instrument panel (picture from SIAF 2015): -broken image link- Hope that helps. On a more sarcastic note, to accurately display a Slovak Mig-29 nowadays, you should just model it in unflyable condition... like the real ones are in. No engines, no ordnance, not even ammo for the machine gun. Edited July 11, 2022 by drake122 removed broken links for pictures
upnorth
Here's some MiG-29AS shots I've taken, including a few cockpit shots, that will give you an idea of the antenna placement both behind and in front of the cockpit. I hope they're useful:
