Mrs PlaStix
The kit is Tamiya’s 1/48 Japanese Navy Komatsu G40 Bulldozer Paints used were Humbrol, Revell, Railmatch and Citaldel. All were applied by brush. The Work in Progress can be found here - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235012637-first-afv-tamiya-148-japanese-navy-komatsu-g40/ On Stix’s Spitfire display shelf Here are some against a white background

Alex Gordon
Stix ain't going to like that digging up the airfield... It's nice to see the demo machine,I used to drive these sort of things for a living and the only times they weren't covered in some phenomenal amount of splatter of crud were straight off the low loader or when we'd mucked them out a bit before we did the 250 hour service.

Good point Alex!! I was really tempted to go overboard with the mud, especially when he mentioned after that I should have removed the mold lines - he hadn't mentioned it before because I'm not to be trusted with sharp blades - solution maybe to use a veg peeler - I've had plenty of experience with that implement!! Bet the weight of the crud affected the performance a bit? I just wanted a slightly muddy look for now.

Ciao Cheers giemme, that figure was REALLY tough! Stix's great with a camera,(They say the camera never lies - but it does a great job of concealing)

Badder
Excellent work MrsStix! I love the weathering. You have a good teacher. I'm not sure that a bulldozer can be classed as an armoured fighting vehicle though. Perhaps you should post it in the 'car' section and have it run over all those silly shiny things? Rearguards, Badder Cheers Badder (he's big headed enough!!!) I was soo tempted to 'overdo' the weathering that mud stuff is fantastic! I agree that it's a bit odd to have it here, but he who must be obeyed (in all things modelling ONLY!!!) instructed me to post here, my second attempt is a genuine AFV honest! - 1/48 Tamiya Russian Armored Car BA-64B. I couldn't hope to ever do anything too car related - it wouldn't work brush painted!

Badder
I've just had an attack of extreme dizziness. My own fault. I was looking at the very first photo then pressed scroll down and all the photos rushed past with the bulldozer spinning around on the spot. I look forward to seeing your armoured car Mrs Stix.
