Plumbum
Just finished decaling last night. The stand is not quite done as of yet but the model is complete. I used Tamiya spray AS-20 insignia white(US Navy) for the overall color. This is build number 2 for 2017 and as with the D-7 battlecruiser an OOB build.---John TOS NCC-1701 6 by jvandeu53, on Flickr TOS NCC-1701 5 by jvandeu53, on Flickr TOS NCC-1701 4 by jvandeu53, on Flickr TOS NCC-1701 3 by TOS NCC1701 2 by jvandeu53, on Flickrww.flickr.com/photos/78503950@N03/]jvandeu53[/url], on Flickr

SteveR
Quote build number 2 for 2017 Nice work! I'll be very happy if mine looks even close to that when finished... and I started months ago!
Plumbum
Here it is on the stand. The stand is HORRIBLE!!!!! If you build this model seek out a better more stable stand. It has already tipped over and it wobbles horribly. I have since the picture was taken removed the stand and reglued it.---John TOS NCC-1701 7 by jvandeu53, on Flickr TOS NCC-1701 8 by jvandeu53, on Flickr
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Nice work John, I had the same issue when I built mine, I just put up with the wobble
Flag_overlord
John, nice work. Thanks for the tip about the stand as I've got 3 of these in the stash (ISS Enterprise, USS Enterprise and USS Constellation conversion) Also thanks for sharing the white you used, I want to do the USS in white and have wondered how the decals would show. Plumbum
Thanks everyone for the comments. The white I used is more of a light gray so the white decals, windows mainly, showed up pretty good, better than I expected. I have been watching the old Star Trek episodes from the 60s and it seems I could have even gone a bit darker with the gray. Quite a few shows show the Enterprise much darker than I painted it.---John
