mirageiv
Hi guys. I got around to taking some finished pictures of my F-16 build thread here: In short this is the first single seat F-16 delivered to the RNoAF and is modelled as a brand new jet straight from the Fokker line. The kit is Tamiya's 1/48 Block 25/32 backdated to Block 1 F-16 configuration. The conversion was relatively straight forward but I realised I have missed the flush ammunition load door however it was too late to change it, think I got most of the other mods though! The base was meant to represent the concrete outside the Fokker plant but came out a bit hit and miss. There were a few balls ups along the way for this one such as clear layers going cloudy, repainting, reapplying more correct decals but the latest was this whilst taking photos! Unfortunately the table I was using to put the model on collapsed and in true 'lawn dart' fashion the kit buried itself into the floor, nose first. Man those Master probes are strong, it took all the force and luckily no damage to anything else, even the tiny static dischargers survived! I will fix it but not for a bit as I'll be away, so I can only show the photos I managed to get before the 'crash' below Thanks for looking and I hope you like an early RNoAF F-16! David. Kasparov
Lovely model. I'm building the 1/32 F16CJ from Tamiya soon. This definitely serves as motivation and inspiration! Smashing kits those big Tamiyas, after building a few others I've made the decision to finish most of my stash. From then on when it comes to planes I'll only invest in big Tamiyas or smaller Hasegawas. Their quality really is exemplary.

After building this one I think I'd prefer a go in 1/32 too, seems a great kit, though the earlier Blk25/32 availability is nearly 0 for backdating to A config. 1 hour ago, Old Viper Tester said: Excellent!
