Royal Navy Wessex rotor colours?

Afternoon folks

 

I an building the Italeri 1:48 Wessex HU5 as 771 Sqd Culdrose 1987 in the blue/grey and red. I am a little confussed as to what colour the upper and lower surfaces of the rotors should be (including the tail rotors) and if they should have the yellow and red stripes?

Also what colour should the rotor head be?

 

Any help appreciated

This picture may answer some of your questions, the rotors show the yellow and red stripes, the red ones look a little washed out.

And add fade

 

Probably more scope for fade on the main rotors than anywhere else on the airframe in service

Early tail rotor blades are mid sea grey with red and white bands, leading edges dull Ally. Late blades are olive green, again  with red and white bands.

And a dark gloss grey for the

Main and tail rotors and the

main rotor gearbox.

 

The yellow and red bands, BTW,

show where to lift or trestle the

blades for folding/servicing.
