Harrier/ViperFan Posted January 13, 2017 Share Posted January 13, 2017 Hey guys/Gals, I am in need of some more help, i am doing a Honda CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird. I want to do it in the Mute Black Metallic, now Tamiya say to mix it which I am never any good at, I went to my local Halfords and they have never heard of it. So could I get away with using a standard Black Metallic? Or do you peeps know of a place where I can get the paint? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its not an easy colour to get right mixing it yourself, however, Tamiya has released the colour in their TS range, which is TS 94 Metallic Grey. If you are able to get the Mini 4wd spray paints as well,(the MS range) you can use MS-5. Much easier using a rattle can I stand corrected, but I think Zero also does the exact colour Airbrush paint. Steve Noble Posted January 13, 2017 Share Posted January 13, 2017 I built the Tamiya Blackbird many years ago and used the MS-5 spray. It's not black at all, more brown I'd say.
