Crossofiron1971
Hi all, A friend of mine who thinks that forums are the devils work has asked me what are the best colours for his Airfix 1/24 Harrier GR3. After telling him and him refusing to flipping join Britmodeller and ask himself, I admitted that I was nor sure myself! So, can anyone advise? Best regards Steve

Excellent modeling resource! http://www.harriersig.org.uk/ Mike
71chally
It's a sort of medium grey all over, ie structure, boxes, instrument panel etc. Despite its appearance, I think it's called dark battleship grey. Personally I use dark sea grey with a dash of white.

LaurieS
Steve it depends on which livery. Where they were operating. Camouflage single colour. Laurie

Thats the wrong colour. You need BS381c 632 - not 638. The three figure number is the colour hue. http://www.e-paint.co.uk/BS381 Colourchart.asp Selwyn
71chally
I knew the colour was boat related!
Crossofiron1971
So then, based on the fact that my mate will only use acrylics, Tamiya XF-54 Dark Sea Grey seems like the one to use?

Tamiya XF-54 Dark Sea Grey is pretty much all I can find though in acrylic...

Should be pretty close, maybe slight touch of white to lighten it for scale and to make it different from the external colour
