Tamiya Spitfire PR conversion - best vacform canopy

A friend is using the Pavla set to convert a 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire I to a PR 1C.

 

The supplied canopy doesn't fit, despite trimming, can any-one suggest one that would fit?

This canopy fits in a similar fashion to the standard type.

 

worth getting if you plan on a few 1/48th  Spits,   ask in the wanted section  for the one you need if you just want the one.

I have the 1/72 version and it's very nice. We'd discussed the Falcon set(s) but he's too tight to buy it. I won't put a request in the wanted section because he's too tight to buy the Falcon set.

 

I've just had a look on e**y and found one by Jays that's designed for the Tamiya Spit. I think I'll order it for him and let him get on with it.

though it does fit very well.
