Academy Bf109G14 1/72nd colours

Hi All,

I've had a disaster with Academy's Fw190A8 so have gone back to there 1/72nd Bf109G14(with Hartman's white one on the box). I was going to try the Jg11 option but can only find one picture of the aircraft on the net and wanted to ask if the paint scheme is right as the picture is different to the kit instructions. the kit instructions seems to have a solid painted nose.

Can anyone help with any advice on the paint scheme,

"Black double chevron"? The one with the Black tulip nose? Looks like it has a winter whitewash. Otherwise just paint a "normal" 74/75/76 scheme, you cannot be very far.

I also have this kit so, if you are building it, let me express my sympathies. I assume your question is about yellow 9? I would say always trust pictures over colour profiles. On Bf 109 G, darker cowlings had been usually associated with G-10 version. Even so it was rather the case of heavy mottling than a solid colour., Cheers
