runeha
Hi! Here's my first for 2017. The new Airfix kit was a joy to build. I modified the pilot in the kit to a more natural pose. The prop blur was simulated by brushing pastel on the spinner. The model was painted using Vallejo Air colors. Hope you enjoy. Any comments appreciated Best regards Rune

Spitfire31
Beautiful build! And I'm going to think long and hard about that creative prop blur idea. Maybe I'll steal it… Impressive work. Kind regards, Joachim

GREG DESTEC
Impressive build and presentation. I like what you did with the prop blur and the pilot figure. Paintwork is really well done too, nicely faded. Overall a really nice P_40. Cheers Greg
Habu12
I've kept saying that it can be made into a nice build, as you have here. Good job! But it's a subpar kit. A step backward in quality we've come to expect.

Squibby
Really love your take on the spinning prop. Really well done and a technique I'm going to unashamedly use if I ever do a in-flight model. Otherwise the model is really nicely painted and weathered subtly and realistically. I also like what you did with the pilot Great work all around
k5054nz
Fine work! I really like how you've finished this. The pilot strongly reminds me of the late great Ray Hanna in an iconic scene from Empire Of The Sun:

Victory-is-in-the-Kitchen
Great work and really like your approach to weathering - how did you achieve the very convincing scratching/chipping? James
Michaelvk
Lovely build and an excellent way to do prop blur. Those cartoonish PE ones just look ridiculous to me. This is a far better solution.
Rich G
I have to agree with k5054nz that it made me think of Ray Hannah in Empire of the Sun! I particularly like the idea of using pastels on the spinner to give the effect of prop blur, the final result looks quite convincing. BS_w
very nice. The prop blur is a good idea and very well made. 1941, the pilot's harness hadn't still the shoulder straps
