corsaircorp
Hello Dears, I had a good modelling evening today, started with these Working on some projects and trying to repair my airbrush ! Here's an image that explain a lot, when one talk about my Spitfire building, tell me which one ! Here are the 2 Mk IX, the ICM will become a pinkie and the Eduard one will be a russian but RAF The Canadian is on his way, here are the beer keg ! Just painted, 2 différents tones of métal, I was hesitating since lot of the barrel ring are usually painted, but whatever, it is iron ! And the bridles added for the Spitfire bomb rack are surely Aluminium, now rectify the painting and then oïl paint to make it alive ! and smelling Guiness !! Seemingly, the airbrush is working ! So time to model with a little bit more energy sooooo ! This one is good for my ears, I asked my daughter how she felt about going back to school ?? Her answer has been a drawing ! Must share it .. She did'nt seem amused, She said Nope I'm already bored ! Given the drawing, I will believe her ! She regrets UK... Ok Dears, if everything turn good tomorrow, I will give the P-47 her final coat of varnish ! Aaaand RFI is near ! Have a very good modelling day. Sincerely. SleeperService
Your daughter is pretty awesome at drawing. Talent must be in the family. I love your Spitfire production line. I'm getting organised to do a few as well...but I have many to finish first. I have been told no new models until you finish some. (My friend's wife is very scary so I obey her. But she is also my friend so it is OK.) I'm looking forward to the pink one, you don't see those done very much nowadays.

Biggles87
I havn't looked in on this for a while, so I can see that you've progressed quite a lot, especially with J EJ. I am tempted to start a Mk iIX soon ( probably MH 434 ) but I really must finish something else first, like you I'm a serial starter, especially with Spitfires. Cheers John Edited October 2, 2017 by Biggles87

Cheers John Hello John, Mine is JR J Jr the Spiyfire that has never existed.... Will be in RFI in a few days, just hope that no paint or varnish has made his way into the cockpit.... The MiG 3 is about to be RFIed too... Then don't know may be the F-94C or the RNZAF Mk XVI... or the F-4B... This year is amazing, I clean up my little personnal MASDC and start another batch of kit... Will not be cured from startitis soon. Thank for the kind words, Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, As JR J Jr is nearing the RFI, I take my royal box almost every night and so it is a benefit for the other Spitfires !! Here's an ICMEduard Dashboard !! I love the Royal boxes !! Lot of overtrees !! Thank Eduard ! That's for my Pink Spitfire ! But the Britrussian has not been forgot ! The desk is nearing finished ! Not finished yet but may be in the first half of 2018 ! Who Know ?? Have a very good modelling time ! And take care of yourselves ! Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, The XVI look good but there is another contender for the next RFI These 2 may have had an actual encounter since they were wandering on the same area at the same time Huh ! Must go to work Aaaaaarrrrrghhhh ! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello dears, I have a BIG doubt about the instructions of lifelike decals !! I need the advice of a Spitophiliac ! Upper wing roundel of the same dimension than the fuselage ones ???? We are in July 1945 ! at Fassberg in Germany If anyone can help ?? Here she is ! proudly showing her fern leaf Must confess that I'm a fan of the blacks !! Have a very good modelling time !! Sincerely. Biggles87
Hi CC I think that your decal instructions are correct. I have found a black and white photo of a late war Mk XVI on which tie overwing roundels appear to be the same size as the one on the fuselage, definitely smaller than the older blue/red ones. I also have an Eduard Mk XIV and one of the marking options shows wing and fuselage roundels of the same size. Hope this helps. John
corsaircorp
Hello John, sure it help, my friend told me about huge yellow blue white red ones, as big as the blue red ones. But if they use also roundels of the same size, it's good to me, I got these ! Thank again. Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, some news from the Spitfire front ! She will receive some weathering soon.... I'm pretty skeptical about the angle of the flaps for the PR XIX ???? They are for a 90° opening, don't believe that .. So I reduce the angle a bit The new rocker covers are well blended in the engine cowling A smooth sanding and it will be good ! I find a way to rectify the propeller The airfix one was a little bit anemic ! Here's a solid shot of testosterone !!! Aaaand 2 little cheaters that were passing by.... Airfix also but not Spit !! As usual, I did almost Nothing of what was planified... But plenty of other things ! Have a good modelling time . Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Here she is going on ! With a bit of a syringe needles that propeller will be rock solid ! Huh the PR XIX is accelerating her pace seemingly ! Sincerely. CC
Biggles87
Those propeller blades really make a difference, whose are they please? I think I will need some replacements. John
malpaso
In your photo of the flaps, there was no intermediate setting between 90 or 0 degrees. They just snapped in or out fully. And closed immediately on landing or a fine, as the edges were easily damaged, also i think the flaps worsened the already marginal cooling air flow through the rads whilst taxying. Cheers Will 1
