canberraman
Like a number of USAF bases, Travis AFB near Suisun City California has its own in house museum. Travis is primarily home to AMC's 60th AMW currently equipped with C-5M, KC-10A, and C-17As, so not surprisingly the museum has a largely airflift theme, but also has a decent selection of other predominantly US military types. I visited the base in the Spring of 2016 and here's some shots to give a flavour of what is on display. On permanent display on base is C-54Q 42-72560 MATS Pacific Division. Also on display near the Wing HQ is CT-39A 60-3483 F-101B 58-0285 in the markings of the NY ANG F-86L 53-0704 C-124C 52-1000 HU-16E Albatross 51-7254 The mighty B-52D 52-0696 C-123K 55-4507 SB-29A 42-65281 A-26C 42-22652/TA F-102A 56-1247 F-105D Thunderchief 62-4299/HI Thanks for looking. C&C always welcome. Mark
e8n2
Having been stationed at Travis and now living in the local area I have been to the museum a number of times. They even have some of my handiwork on display in their extensive model collection. Later, Dave

It seems the Britmodeller community shows up in the most unexpected of places! PS We liked Suisun City too, had a great night out there in a karaoke bar! F-32
Great shots, I went a number of years ago but couldn't get into the building as it was the year of the government shut down. Got to drive through the base though, lots of interesting air frames dotted around.
