Paul J
As promised some more of my by gone pics being aired for the benefit of interested members! Unlike my first lot, these have been 'cleaned up' using the new found tool on my laptop. I have a feeling doing all these pics will take me away from modelling for a while. Not a bad thing seeing as I have lost the modelling mojo in a big way. But anyhow, here are some Yeovilton Air Day shots and according to my notes on the slide box are from 1974. (Unless someone is certain it may be another year) If it was 74, then these were taken on my Zenith E with 400mm lens for the flying pics and 135 and 28mm lens for the static to the best of my memory. Enjoy! Hunter GA11. F-5E Tiger from Alconbury. Etendard. Westland Wasp. Much wanted by members here in kit form! FIAT G-91 WGAF. F-104G Royal Netherlands Air Force. (Aaah...sigh....) Another French Navy visitor... F8-E (FN) Crusader. G-VTOL Harrier two seater Demonstrator. Westland Sea King HAS.2 ( is that right someone?) 'The Blue Herons' and Hunter GA.11s " ladies and Gentlemen... from the left..." Much missed Firefly V WB351. WV908 Seahawk. Buccaneer S.2, RAF. And finally, for now, XV582 Phantom FG.2 43 Squadron. Thats it for now but there will be many more....

Evalman
Lovely to see these. You were right to include the question mark, most of these are from the 1978 show.

71chally
Lovely shots, there was something so much purer and simple about the RN Historic Flight in those days, great to see the Sea Fury, Firefl,y and Seahawk together.

Correct the Sqn stood up 1st January 1977 Love 70s nostalgia, you cant beat it

Wez
Your Queenie could be a HAS.1, it's hard to tell because the obvious thing to look at - the tail rotor, is such a blur. HAS.1 has 5-blade tail rotor, HAS.2 a 6-blade tail rotor. All of the extant HAS.1's would have been converted to HAS.2 standard, there was little other external difference between the early HAS.2 and late HAS.1's when the former came into service. The serial number would tell you if it was built as a HAS.1 or 2. Nice selection of subjects there.
Paul J
Cheers for comments and corrections. Somewhere I have my old spotting logs and they will help in sorting them. Regardless I hope yo are all enjoying these nostalgic pics. Next lot may be civvy but I have found some lovely Greenham '83 pics and the first Fairford in '85. They just need 'cleaning up' and resizing to fit here.
Smudge
Cheers, Paul. Keep 'em coming. I had a Zenith E myself back in the 70's. Those certainly were great times weren't they.
