Julien
HMCS Snowberry Armament, Superstructure & Railings - For Revell Kit1:144 Eduard This thee set from Eduard are for the new Revell kit. While the kit is a good one, there are limitations to plastic moulding in the smaller scales which Photo-etch does overcome. The first 2 sets come in the larger presslock bags Eduard use for these sets (and much better than their usual packaging), the last in the normal packaging. Armament This set as the name suggests deals with the armament on the Corvette. The first part is new depth charge rails, launchers and parts for the depth charges. For the anti-aircraft armament, new parts and shields for the twin Lewis guns, pom pom and 20 mm are included. A new deck house and gun platform for the 4" main gun are included along with the ready use ammunition racks. Lastly new parts are provided for the Hedge Hog launcher. Superstructure This set as the name suggests deals with the Superstructure on the Corvette. As might be expected parts are included for Watertight doors, port holes and hatches. The deck ladders are replaced. Parts are supplied for ventilation ducts, bands on the ventilators. New parts for the cable drums & anchor windlass are provided. New parts for the lifeboat, lifeboat davits and life raft launchers bring these parts upto scratch. New parts are provided for the gun platforms and supporting areas. Parts are provided for the deck lockers. A new crows nest is provided for the mast along with its access ladder. Lastly a new RADAR platform is provided along with new parts for the scanner itself. Railings This set as the name suggests deals with the railings on the Corvette. As well as all the main railings on the deck and superstructure, there are deck parts for the Hedge Hog Launcher, and bridge wing supports. Conclusion These sets will greatly enhance the Revell kit, Highly recommended. Review samples courtesy of
