Thanks in advance. Thanks Radleigh! The MiG-31 (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234993033-172-mig-31bbmm-foxhound-family-by-trumpeter-mig-31bbm-released/) and F-106 (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234991157-172-convair-f-106a-b-delta-dart-by-trumpeter-cads/) were already announced in the 2016-2017 catalog. You're right the Q-5/A5 are new to me as the Tu-128M!!! I've just opened the Tu-128 discussion: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235014152-172-tupolev-tu-128m-fiddler-by-trumpeter-release-2017-2018/ - ref. 01684 - Nanchang Q-5 "Fantan" - ref. 01685 - Nanchang Q-5C "Fantan" - ref. 01686 - Nanchang Q-5A "Fantan" V.P. Vultures1
First time I had seen mention of a 1/72 Q-5 release from Trumpeter ... and I am unreasonably excited about it! Please Trumpeter, make it happen
172flogger
Wasn´t Q-5 in old Trumpeter catalogues about 2002 year together with 1/72 MiG-19s?

Mountain goat
Ever since owning the Osprey book on Asian Airpower ('Exotic Warplanes in Action') I've wanted a couple of Pakistani ones. Nice looking aeroplane in any case. Jay
Geoff_B
The Q-5 may indicate that the long awaited Mig-19 might actually be in development now as the Q-5 evolved from this aircraft and they might be tolling it to allow for both types ? Anyway its a long overdue kits, although pretty sure it was one of their earlier kits they did in 48th or 32nd, and was a bit miffed they never scaled it down to 72nd till now/
Ale85
Great news!! I always loved the Q-5 in pakistani camo! And now finger crossed: we ant a MiG-19 in 72nd! ciao ALe

Good news on the Fantan though!
Antoine
It's only time! I would have bet this kit to be one of Trumpeter first release when they started in the business. A nice Chinese jet, that had some success on the market out of China. But with hindsight, it's much better to get it now than ten years ago, as we might expect to get a fine kit with right shapes and dimensions. Geoff_B
Well what could a counted as a good sign is it appears the Q-5C kit appears to have box art which is generally a sign the kit should be out in the next 12 mths or so. Those with photos or profiles can sit in the catalogue for years like that (Be-6 and Condor spring to mind), although the Intruder family and Mig 19 have been listed for a number of years
