Graeme
Trailer for the live action movie - but I do find it annoying that an American is playing the lead Japanese character (I know it's for marketing and stuff, but still)...Kusanigi is Japanese!
Misrule
Atsuko Tanaka will always be the true Motoko to me I'd listen to her read the phone book I'll watch the film, and it looks a lot like the original 90s film, I'll give it credit for capturing that overcrowded grey and neon future a lot of movies back then imagined, but I can't see it topping SAC and hope it doesn't try. Let it be it's own thing and leave the series alone Also if it ruins Tachikoma...
Thud4444
Kusanigi can look like any one she wants. She doesn't have to be Japanese. It looks like they've really captured the blank stare, non blinking looks of the manga and early movies. Barbie doll Scarlett is disturbing. Robert
Hope this succeeds as a Laughing Man movie would be good to see.

AngstROM
I watched the part of the canon that aired on Anime Central (R.I.P.!) and loved much of it -but found it tended to get a little way up itself sometimes! Since then I've seen more than enough to make this movie a must-see. At the very least, I'll enjoy griping about whatever might be wrong with it! Just happy things like this can get made among all the tosh that the majors seem to turn out nowadays...
BobSolo
Never heard of it before this movie, reminds me of Blade Runner and Matrix and visually looks a treat, def one to watch in 3D
Richard Baker
It may not be critical for the plot but I do hope they have a couple of Tachikoms make an appearance. Aside from being a cool concept in equipment I would like to see them in the 'real world' with state of the art CGI. I do think the film seems to capture the feel of the animated series fairly well
