A view through the T2 hangar doors for you as a Whirlwind HAR Mk 10 is readied for a sortie.

 

Hangar is 1/72 scale scratch built from paper card.  Whirlwind is a reworked 1/72 CORGI.

Based on the T2 hangars at RAF Bovingdon which were repainted white post war.

Scratch built  two-bay crash vehicle shed made from paper card.

 

Crash trucks are all BW Models white metal kits.  AEC Matador runway controllers van is a converted AIRFIX Matador.

AIRFIX Short Sunderland Mk III being seviced in front of T2 hangar.

 

This Sunderland has a substantial mainly scratch built interior and it's build will feature soon.

 

Scratch built servicing ladders and wheel chocks. Figures from various AIRFIX kits such as Bloodhound and Landing Craft.

My 1960s airfield diorama on display at a show at Bridlington railway station. It depicts an air display with a selection of aircraft on static and flying display.

CORGI 1/72 Westland Lysander Mk II. I took model apart, redetailed, reassembled, repainted and redecaled......a different kind of modelling when I just want a quick fix.

 

And I love Lysanders...............

Hi Mancunian, the bombs under the Canberra are being displayed on the model detachable bomb cradle.
