Also a solid nose for making a lodestar. You cannot build a Lodestar by just putting a solid nose on the Hudson. The Lodestar was quite a different aircraft with a longer fuselage, bigger wings and different tailplanes. Nils
ben_m
Sorry, did I mean Lockheed 14?
Graham Boak
Otherwise known as the Super Electra. Lockheed 14 covers Super Electras and Hudsons.
Max Headroom
If the boxing you have doesn't have the Wright Cyclone/nacelle combination then you're stuck, as I'm unaware of an aftermarket replacement. From recollection, all only offer the Twin Wasps. You need the dedicated Revell or MPM offering. Check out Ced B's build thread and my partially built one. I also have the RAF museum example in or walkaround section - be warned its very non standard and I've picked out the major bear traps. Yes, the solid nose could be used for a Super Electra, aka the Lockheed 14. The Lodestar was the Lockheed 18. Nils
Max Headroom
The solid nose comes as an unused option in the Revell Mk. I/II boxing. If I remember correctly there is also a flashed over window aperture by the tail (is that where the loo went in the civvy version?) Trevor
