This book aims to give the reader an insight into what it was like to fly the Spitfire and what this entailed. Using pilot notes, flight test documents and personal interviews the author pulls all of this together in the book. Starting of with the Prototype K5054, and through to the post war aircraft (F.18/22/24) the book details how it was flown, and what pilots today think of the aircraft. The book is illustrated through out by contemporary and modern photographs of the various marks of the Spitfire. The book is A4 Hardback (Landscape) format with 176 pages. The printing and layout is first class. Conclusion. This book with give the Spitfire enthusiast a feeling of what is was, and is like to fly this iconic aircraft. Recommended.
