Almost certainly my last completed build of the year... dragged from the shelf of doom and finished over the last week is my Kawanishi N1K1 Rex. Built completely OOB, painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with AK washes. Not perfect by a long chalk, but it's finished at last :)

Very nice Paul - given how busy you've been recently, you've done well getting anything finished! :clap2:

I've not seen one of these built before. Very impressive. You've made a really nice job of it. :clap2:

Brilliant Rex! That's a model I definitely want, as I have both the mid-wing and low-wing Georges, so this would complete the set.

Nice indeed! Excellent painting and weathering :) . If I may one small suggestion - back of props were black (or rather  matt and dark, since photos are BW) , as it is on photo here (scroll 3/4 of page down):

Well worth pulling that one off the shelf of doom, it's come out as a real stunner.

Great to see such an unusual model too!

Cheers

Maybe 'shelf of inertia' would have been a better description

Good spot, thank you :) That should be a fairly straightforward fix.

If this is a 'shelf of doom' model, I would hate to see what one of your 'decent' jobs looks like. You nailed this one, IMHO!
