Rob : the aerials are just stretched sprue ... they still need a light paint coat to make them more opaque and realistic.

The end result was worth the effort, especially starting again with the turret. The aerials look fine, but have you ever tried the carbon fibre ones from Accurate Armour? They work really well and they are a lot stronger than stretched sprue.

You're spot on, John, many thanks ... I was trying to remember where I saw carbon fiber aerial for sale !!!

 

Bad luck, I just received my AA order ... will have to order some other things :D

tanks for your comments, today I present you the last update of the Challenger 2 ... I made some experiment to depict the protective coated periscopes, not too bad.
