Neomega cockpit in Kinetic FRS.1

Hi gang,

Just a quick question - has anyone tried fitting the Neomega FRS.1 cockpit for the Airfix Sea Harrier to the Kinetic kit?

I haven't.  But one virtue of NeOmega cockpits is that they fit their kits almost perfectly, because (unlike so many others) they match the parts to the interior contours.  If the Kinetic kit is different inside from the Airfix one, it's unlikely that the cockpit will fit perfectly.  But as there can't be very much difference, I'd bet it still fits with less bother than most of the competition fit the kits they're supposedly designed for.

 

If you can get hold of an Airfix kit, even to borrow, you could do a preliminary check with a profile gauge.

Thanks Sean. I'm a big fan of Neomega cockpits for the very reason you state, as well as the fact they are so finely detailed. I've got a Kinetic FRS.1, but not a Neomega cockpit. Just wondering if it is worth ordering to try.

I know @Mike tried this when he reviewed the Kinetic kit and it does not fit.
