I gather that KP is now regarded as the "lead" brand in the AZ family, so I'd expect it to be a new tool.

Or question is, if and which model was used as a base to prepare a master for new model.

Does it matter?  The old Heller kit holds up well for it's age, despite the wheels, and the raised panel lines on the rear fuselage are more prototypical of the real thing as they were indeed overlapping which assisted the airflow.

Plus the KP kit should be around the same price as the old Heller one but cheaper than the Fly one.

I'd be surprised if KP don't go with a post war Czech Air Force one as a decal option as they did fly a few.  I'd like them to do an RAF option as we used quite a few for communication in Germany after the war.

I suspected strongly that it might be the Fly plastic (which I've never seen in person). I think I still have some aftermarket decals for civilian 108s.

It was posted in KP thread, that this is a Fly plastic + resin parts replaced by plastic. Anyway, two posts above  charlie_c67 said that.
