Joss Posted December 13, 2016 Share Posted December 13, 2016 Hello everyone, I build this one for the P51 group build. It's the tamiya kit in 1:48 with resin drop tanks wheels and added photoetch. Going from photos I found it seemed they where fairly war weary with looks of metal exposed around the engine. So this build was used as a test for using oils, it was interesting just means I've got to buy more colours now . Anyway it was good fun. Any constructive criticism welcome as I'm always looking improve my builds. Her she is; #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 #9 #10 Again any comments welcome. Squibby Posted December 13, 2016 Share Posted December 13, 2016 Nicely weathered and well finished P51. I like the paint chipping work, it's nice and subtle and realistically arranged. My only niggle would be that the white stripes on the flaps seem to have missed out on some weathering and there is quite a stark contrast with the grubby stripes over the wings. Shame about the damaged decal, though if you stuck some paint chips / wear in that area it could look like it was intentionally damaged 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
