Hello pbaudru,

 

Your SU -27M  Svezda is VERY IMPRESSIVE looking and you did an IMPECCABLE job on it.:clap::hypnotised::yikes:

Great build of a lovely kit. I'm building the same one at the moment (in a Revell boxing), and it goes together beautifully doesn't it?

 

Agree with the other comments, more pictures needed of such a great Flanker!

So just to clarify the paints I used were the ones from AKAH.

 

Light blue 73035

Light grey 73036

Blue 73046

 

Paints were thinned using X-20A from tamiya.

 

About the build, the only problems I had were:

 

-Had to use putty and sand in order to have a perfect surface on the two vertical 'tails' (external side). The seams on both sides were not beautiful to see.

 

-Slats had to be positioned on down position but the original parts have not the appropriate angle. I had to sand them to obtain the correct angle.

 

The rest of the build was trouble free.

 

Decals are good but for the 51 red aircraft the stars are not correct. Try to use begemot stars they are excellent.
