12/4 update.

Have been picking out the details in different shades of sand colors to break up the monotone appearance and to make the details pop.

Looks rather weird at the moment but camo, washes and weathering should pull it all together (said he with a great show of confidence but under cover with thinly disguised trepidation and shaking knees).

Nice and easy does it Gremlin, building up the layers .

How many gallons of paint left? LOL

Simon.

My first AK flask of sand is already empty (have 3 left though, planned my supplies and stock well before hand). I have been having fun doing dreadful things to the Panzer Putty and then putting it back in the tin to see what happens, like yesterday I folded it over several times and put it back and now this evening it is blowing bubbles. It's more like a pet than an airbrushing accessory ;)

Looks very nice as I see it ... don't be too harsh with yourself ;)

14/4 update, Ambush camouflage Phase 1.

After 5 hours of using Panzer putty and three rolls of masking tape phase 1 of the ambush camo is complete:

After a clean up and touch up phases 2 and 3 will follow. Panzer putty is the best thing since sliced bread, I'll be ordering more tins though because I ran out about three quarters of the way through spraying and masking ;)

Hi Francis, thanks you ! looks better now the three base colors are on doesn't it?. The spots, ah that was very easy. I bought two nail decorating sets of small fine paintbrushes. The sets also included small metal tools to make flower like shapes on fingernails. You can of course also make spots very easily. I'll post some photos today.

;)

I know SFA about German armour, but I do know that that looks good.

BTW. I don't know what fertiliser you have in those containers, but that's a lovely crop of paint brushes that you have growing there.

Thank you very much John, the brushes? I have trouble not buying hairy sticks and I tend to go through a lot of them (you can never have enough hairy sticks ;)).
