kitman
Hi - Just a quick question. I keep on seeing that certain brushes have better atomising of the spray than other brushes. What does something sprayed with a very good atomising brush look like, as against one that isn't.
Beardie
Well atomisation is the act of creating the spray from the liquid paint in the airbrush. Fine atomisation means the airbrush is splitting the paint flow into very fine droplets which will create a nice fine paint layer whereas poorer atomisation would lead to a rougher paint surface when looked at close up as the paint is being sprayed out in larger droplets so the finer the atomisation the smoother the finish possible and also is liable to be more controllable with less risk of putting too much paint out at one time which risks causing runs and drips in the paint finish.
