celt
Hard to believe that it has any link to the Spitfire, nice model.
Graham Boak
Difficult to see any actual commonality - if you are going to link it via the Spiteful's wings then the Swift was developed from an Attacker fuselage, with the Type 545 following on, TSR 2 is probably at least one step too many. Yes, the link being Spitfire, Spiteful (the last Spitfires using the same tail), Then the Attacker using the Spiteful's wings. I know the Swift was developed from the Attacker's fuselage, but the production aircraft was significantly different. That, and no one does a 1/48 kit yet.....lol
Buzby061
Nice work but it certainly is an ugly duckling. Pete
steve4536
It's the first I've heard of this a/c....good modelling by the way and nice paint job. Not sure what Super Marine's designers were thinking of but that tail fin looks very strange??
Graham Boak
The Swift did have a different fuselage to the Attacker, mainly to get reheat on the back, but there's still a direct line of development via the Type 510 (Atacker with swept wing) Type 528 (add reheat) then the Type 535 Swift. However, I grant you that would make the Swift more a Great grandson!
