Bob Henry
Keep on keeping on ... so the old saying goes. I have to get back to the building bench soon. The last two months have been occupied with major "Home Improvement" projects. Bob H.
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, It has not been a good modelling evening, things are going wrong, I don't know what has happened? Decals ruined on my MiG, propagteam, first time for me to use it... Will find some spare now... But there will be a RFI in some days, I start my evening work week tomorrow. Real life has banned me from my bench this week, no many progresses But luckilly, some great laugh with my friends on BM Thank for all and take care. Sincerely. Bob Henry
I can identify with "Real Life" getting in the way of the more important task of modeling. I feel your pain. Bob H.

I feel your pain. Bob H. Hello Bob, This is exactly that ! But I think that the beast is almost ready for a coat of clear cote A bit of panelling and some worn effect.. Not my best NMF but I will improve, however, I tried to reproduce the effect of abrasion from the volcanic ashes The coat of primer was too thick, I think, Vallejo canned primer... More to come soon. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Polishing the P-47 has gave a kick to make a thing that Mrs CC has greatly appreciated... Far more polish for the 1/1 thing ! Sincerely. Corsaircorp 1
Bob Henry
Yes, it's one of those necessary chores. It looks pretty good. As long as you keep Mrs. CC happy your modeling will go smoothly. Bob H.
corsaircorp
Hello Bob; Exactly, you're right. In a near future, there will be 4 RFI, I started decalling the Jug Pyn Up are very fine decals, but veeeeery thin and delicate ! The original decals from academy are unusable, let it soak for nearby 30' and still don't move. That's a piece of luck that I get the Pyn up ones More to come soon, the RFI is not far away !! Have a very nice modelling day. Sincerely. Corsaircorp

With that particular engine it was a very fast bird, even though it was heavy. I also love the nose art. I hope that you realize that you will have to build another plane that uses some of the other nose art in that decal set. This way you will have a "Pair of Jugs" ... pun intended. Bob H. Hello Bob, Just an appetizer, Never saw such a thin decal, one has to be really carefull with the Pyn Up !! Hairy job, but definitely Worth the pain ! Sincerely. Look the second one, Shame on me, I scratched a bit her smile ! And that's a piece of luck, Pyn Up provided two of each, knowing that it's a pretty difficult transfer to apply ! And now, 5/0 hairy stick and oïl paint for some aesthetic surgery ! The race is on in between the P-47 and the MiG 3 No pin up with the russians but patriotic motto ! Far less sexy, is'nt'it ? My next Pyn up kit will be a B-26, already have the corrected engine cowl Making more nice P-2800 and so on... And I found a B-17G with a pin up that really match my wife, Should I tell it to her or stay mute ??? That's a embarrassing question Have a very nice modelling day ! It's nearing the RFI now, I also worked on the U/C legs Fuel tanks are done, the bomb too... Edited July 21, 2017 by corsaircorp
