corsaircorp
Hello, Here's another project of mine. 3 american aircrafts including 1 and a half under british management. Both are early Mustangs with différents armament and of course different wing. 1 MTO, 1 ETO and the last from CBI There's an Accurate min and 2 ICM, serioulsly they're almost identical. The first to be finished, I guess will be the MTO one a P-51A from an US Sqdn on loan to an brit squadron. The colours will be ... Let's say, unusual. One of my favourite game , you both should know the kind of remark "are you sure about the colours ???" I modify the camera rack for 2 of thede Mustang, because, you receive this... And you must have that... So, I cut the brackets, throw away the original support, add an armour plate ( from her cousins ) slightly modified. Add wiring to the camera, That seem promising, there's also lots of sanding but the ICM are worst. I keep on going, modifying the wings according to the 3 different type of early mustang is funny. Thank for watching. Corsaircorp

corsaircorp
Some news of the 'Stangs, the 2 ICM are improving, fuselages not closed yet. The Accurate start to look like a Mustang now I finished the rack with evergreen, But as I was clearing some parts in my stock, I found back this one... Did anyone know this brand ?? That finding has sparked a new interest and a question. What about trying a vac ?? What ??? Starting another project ??? No, for today at least, I will find a good plan and dimensions before startin' her. Have a nice day. Sincerely. Corsaircorp
corsaircorp
Hello Dears, As I spend more time in some walk in our surrounding forest, enjoying the sunny weather, Kits are in idle for these days... But I found a trick to reproduce the camera bracket, here it is The wiring will go on a switch box over the camera and I will point the lenses looking peering in the hole Must make a second one, almost the same will be fun ! Have a very nice day and take care. Sincerely. Corsaircorp

72modeler
Corsaircorp, Wings was a maker of some excellent, well-detailed short-run vacform kits, as good as and comparable to Eagles Talon, who also did the Fireball. When MPM released their injected FR-1, I sold off my Wings vacform, but kept the Eagles Talon one. I have attached a link to illustrations of many of their releases. Esoteric were probably the best of the vacforms, along with the last series from Rareplanes, and did an amazing assortment of golden age USN biplanes and monoplanes, almost all of which I have, but haven't yet screwed up the courage to do one, as I need some vacforms under my belt so I don't ruin one, as it would be pretty much impossible to find, much less afford a replacement! Biggles87
Hi CC, I didn't realise until now that you had a separate WIP on the P-51, I had just seen it as part of the background to your Spitfire builds. I have the Hobbycraft 1/32 version ( which is scaled up from the Accurate Minoatures kit ) so this is very interesting to me, especially the camera support construction. Watching closely. corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Almost finished but I changed my mind ! And decided to open the cockpit... So I cut the transparencies !! The landing light is upgraded too, I used an overtree Spitfire rear vew Mirror and here we go ! I will have at least a RFI per month in 2018, That will be short but I still work in that way ! Have a very nice day of modelling !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello dears, No, no, I did'nt forget my ponies, the first one is out in the fields, here's the RFI But 2 left in the stable ... I'll also show some doc for my friend @BS103 as he has another "Yank with roundels" project First of all the Accurate A-36 is by no means the best choice for havin' a Mustang Mk I Of course, one must erase and sand the dive brake but the engine cowling is also different ! Now, let's see the wing, first a Mustang Mk I, mine will be from the 414th Sqdn, I will depict the first mustang to draw blood ! Piloted by a "Canadian" who has crossed the border, an U.S.N pilot in fact ! And here's my rendition still in progress ! More to come soon. Sincerely. corsaircorp
Well Sorry for the delay Gents, SWMBO must work on the PC, So here we are ... The nose gun… I'll thank my Trumpy Corsair for the gift of .50s Boring the engine cowlings, And... Job done, another pic to show the wing's gun arrangement ! You already saw the fifties placed but this one will also sport a camera I lover resin and silicon !! Now; let's go for the 3rd pony !! This one will have stars and bars… at least. Will be an Air Commando in CBI ! Once again the wing is different !! Here, the ICM wing is almost good ! Obviously, I was not talking about adjustment ! The first was in fact a Mustang Ia with four 20mm cannon ! 3 Allison Mustangs and both different… I like it ! Hope that you enjoyed the thread. Thank for popping in and hope that it help or inspire someone ! Sincerely. CC
