This is the Minicraft 1/144 Pan Am Pacific Clipper kit, built as NC18602 as it made its way westward from Auckland toward New York after being unable to get home to Hawaii after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Specifically, I have tried to depict the aircraft on its return to Trincomalee harbor after experiencing a catastrophic failure of the number three engine.

British European Airways Handley-Page Dart Herald as used on Scottish Islands routes '62-'65. From ex-Frog, ex-Novo, unidentified Cyrilic boxing. Shortened fuselage, home-made decals. Thanks to everyone who helped with tips in the construction and made my first build on here so pleasant. Except for 'Scimitar' of course - it's all his fault  .

No worries.....managed the work on time...deafeated by poor initial research and the paint drying time. I wouldn't have voted for me anyway....way better models on here.
