Jon Kunac-Tabinor
HI all - I finally managed to take some proper RFI pics of this build. For the build thread - this will explain all http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234981173-north-american-fj-3-fury-148th-esci-with-added-elbow-grease/ But here she is on the catwalk, looking shiny. All comments welcome, as ever. I have to say that one of these in FAA colours with Suez stripes would look amazingly cool as a WHIF - but after this build - one is enough!

stevehnz
That looks good Jon, in spite of your trials & tribulations. I recall your WiP from some time ago & thinking I could use these ideas in 1/72. No line up of F-86 variants should be without one of these. Steve. Viking
Blimey Jonners, that is brilliant. An absolutely masterful build with a flawless finish, rounded out by being a cracker of a subject! Cheers John
Giorgio N
Fantastic model, more so considering the kit you started with ! A little OT: interesting that you mention a possible FAA Suez whif... FJ-3s really were in action during the Suez affair as VF-62 and VF-73 flew the type during the "surveillance" activities conducted by the US 6th Fleet on the Anglo-French operations Edited November 20, 2016 by Giorgio N

RidgeRunner
An absolutely fab job, mate. Maybe a scout for one of the manufacturers will finally realise the merits of this type and issue one in 1/72! Martin
