Plasto
Hi folks, it's been a while. Finally getting the love back for this kit, and have made a bit of progress. I got hung up trying to sort out the leg slider rails. Before I stopped working on it, I'd blocked out some new rails from styrene sheet... A bridgeport miller is a handy bit of kit. This is the one from where I work, wish I could get it in my shed! This left me with 4 uniform and identical rails. After much measuring, and cursing, I marked out the holes for the slots. I also drilled extra holes, to lessen the amount of material I would have to whittle out. This is where I'm up to now. I've snapped no end of blades carving out the slots. Just need tidying up. That's the next slog, using my needle files to smooth out the bumps. Hope to get more done now, that I'm feeling the love again, and hopefully the next update won't take so long. Matt. I see the forum still thinks I'm plasto. Thought they'd ironed the problems out. Edited June 12, 2017 by Plasto
S5 modeller
Just tried logging out, then back in. Testing, to see if I'm back to me, or not. Yay! It worked!! My apologies to @Plasto for posting in his name. Edited June 12, 2017 by S5 modeller
