old thumper
Matchbox Halifax GRII. Just rediscovered this old model hiding at the bottom of one of my display cabinets. I think I built this about 8 years ago when I first got back into the hobby and it was one of the first kits I used an airbrush on. As can be seen the colours are all wrong, for some reason I decided that two tones of grey would look better than grey/green, additionally the camouflage pattern is wrong as are probably the decals which i think i had an accident putting on. Looking at the model now I will probably get the oven cleaner out and rebuild it. Funny I was quite happy with it at the time. Please don't forget to vote for the Matchbox group build folks , we are not far off and need your votes to proceed. modelglue
I like it the way it is! You could justify it with an extreme faded look, or just buy the newer revell kit and do it all again! 😀
rafalbert
Awesome again!
TonyTiger66
Also in agreement, it looks great . No point in stripping this one, just build another! . It's a good old kit. I got hold of a Matchbox Privateer a couple of months ago and have a Wellington and Wellesley in the stash. All eminently buildable kits; fun, too ATB TonyT

PhantomBigStu
Great build, as for the colours, corgi made the same mistake with one of their coastal commands models, even though I know its wrong its still one of my favorite diecasts......
goggsy
Nope, leave it alone. It looks good and it's important to keep old builds as a means of keeping track of your progress.

Knight_Flyer
It would be a shame to redo the camo as it is a neat looking paint finish. I did look at the pics of model first and thought you may have found some never seen before photos of a Halifax in those colours.
flyingpiggy
I love these old kits, nostalgic looking back at them. I echo others comments and might be tempted to display "as is". The enjoyment factor of these "toe dipping" return to the hobby is an important record of ones progress. Regards

Spitfire31
Good decision! I was just about to weigh in, when I saw your decision. It's the right one – it's a very good looking model and a souvenir as well! Kind regards, Joachim
